Volunteerism is encouraged at Big Oaks Conservation Society. You do not have to be a member to become a registered volunteer

Volunteers help support BOCS's mission by assisting in events, wildlife surveys, hunting seasons, and more!
Anyone interested in becoming a registered volunteer at Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge should contact the Refuge office. ​
Internships
Opportunities for internships are available at both Big Oaks Conservation Society and Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge.

Interns that work for Big Oaks NWR are encouraged to participate in helping the Board of Directors of BOCS with communication, media development, and management (website, Instagram and Facebook), written and broadcast media, marketing, and community outreach. An interest in conservation, natural sciences, and wildlife would be welcome but are not a requirement. A stipend of $300 per month is split between the number of interns who participate in this position (example: 2 interns = $150 each).
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge offers internship
