Crawfish Frog Hybrid

While checking the pitfall traps at Karns Pond, off the East Perimeter Road in area 46, a Crawfish/Pickerel frog hybrid was caught. This is a very exciting discovery! Often times hybrids don't make it past larval or tadpole stages, and if they do make it to adulthood, they are often times infertile. The frog we found was 1-2 years of age, looking to mate! Stay tuned for any developing information!
